ON MENDED WINGS FOR NAMI!

One  of my charity works is one for the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) and I am putting my time for them because an anthology that was created for support of this organization is now on sale in major retailers in North America, Europe and Asia!! It is in the following countries: The US, Canada, The Entire UK, France, Germany and in Japan. The anthology is called  On Mended Wings  and it is a compilation of poetry and art to benefit this organization to compensate for medication and other care that other medical programs that do not provide service to those that have mental ailments. The point of this book is to raise awareness of these problems and to promote restoration and healing for those in need.

A wonderful friend came forward and she introduced me to this organization and I felt the need to be a part of it and donate my work to it. This also was a big help in getting my work out there quickly, for which it has. My hope is to keep you posted on all the bits and happenings everywhere. RADIO CALLS AGAIN!

I recently got a spot on the Dr. Carol Francis Show on BTR.
The poem that she asked from me is "Soldier" from my current book,
A Voice Over Time. The book, as you know, is now available in retailers
online and there will be many more to come. The show that the poem is
featured on is called "Reuniting Soldiers With Families" on The Dr. Carol

THE GYPSY POET... LIVE!!! WAS A SUCCESS!!
It is now official! My book is out in one bookstore, I will be doing bookstore tours
around San Antonio soon. I'm working on the 2nd Barnes & Noble on 1604 and 281
in the Northwoods area and now, I am hoping to land a bookstore called "The Twig"--
There will be other news to come! :) Right now, the tour of  A Voice Over Time
begins! it is now in major retailers online and bookstores are stocking it!

The Composer... The Pianist.... The Muse....

These days, I am focused on the performance for the Poetry Reading at Barnes & Noble at
Ingram Festival. Putting together music and practicing the reading of the poetry... Also, I am
putting together the stories for each one....things are looking up and things are ROCKIN'!!!
Be ready for Music, Poetry, the Blues and the audience will be ready to rock...

These last few days have been a little difficult, but I don't mind it. After all, it's all a part
about being an artist... The Gypsy Poet... is COMING....
