HOCUS, POCUS---FOCUS....

Don't ever let anything bring you down.
If there is something you want in this
world,Like Paulo Coelho said, The Universe
will conspire with you to get to that goal
no matter what. Just don't give up and
keep your focus.

There is no way that with all I am
doing that I will lose any mind, or
any kind of hope. Anyone who is out to
destroy your dreams, is
destroying themselves--

They don't exist in my world...
And if they try, they are going
to lose...

The Alchemist was in no doubt
the most inspiring book
to me to date. Why should I ALLOW FOOLS
to bring me down?
That's the moral of the story---why ALLOW
fools into your life? And not just fools,
needless stress is the question?
Why bother with that?

I got nothing to worry about...
Hollywood is calling...

of Los Angeles, CA. Owned by Chris Dickerson, but the website
is run by me at this time.

Check it out. I designed that--wait till
the story lines come out. So, Keep talking,
Keep posting, keep going...My success is
just around the corner and my dreams are
happening...

Dark Roots...

After taking off from my radio program, Gypsy Poet Radio,
it will be back in January. I needed to take off for the Holidays
and get in touch with people I call family. Not just the blood, but
another brood that I talk to all the time. My group of friends who
believe in The Gypsy Poet. I'm not the conventional girl who does
things with an entourage or a posse--I work ALONE--and that's
the way I like it. I want to rely on myself. What do is I put my best
in everything--Glen Still, founder and producer of 10K Poets had asked
me to take over a show earlier in 2009 called Poets Dream In Color.
The man was in need of help, and I offered to step up to the plate and
give him my guts as well as my wit. He got that, and more--and probably
the best production work he ever saw from one person who ran the whole
thing. I now run a show for 10Kpoets called The English Pub which is an
online show devoted to callers who want to read their poetry, short stories
and other stuff on the air. (blogtalkradio.com/10KPoets is the link) AND--
That is MY creation, too. I did that for Glen as my gift to him and the rest
of the crew behind what I do. I talk about poets that I am currently studying for
my Master's in English. Thanks to me going back to school, my fan base is
growing rapidly--and I see some people taking some of my ideas. I'm flattered
by it because it shows how original my ideas are to begin with.

But I digress. Anyway, Gypsy Poet Radio will rock the airwaves in January.
At this time, I put everything on hold for family, however, I am working my ass
off at another thing. I was invited at UT for the Spring research conference here
in my town and I was put in 2 categories: Creative writing for my poetry book,
as well as my research for music and literature. The music and literature work is
for a class I am working to design to show folks how music and literature inspire
each other. The point: I'm busy putting my career and dreams together. The wit
of The Gypsy Poet (Which I created) got me pretty far at this point. Even most
of Hollywood is listening and is open to what I am up to. I like what I am seeing--
I love what I am doing...Watch, world--it's coming together--
Join me for the fun, the dance, and the life in the coming year ahead---
LOVE TO YOU ALL, MY READERS!

Warrior Woman...

Warrior Woman--
She is a warrior who knows how to make her own path beneath
her adversaries on the battlefield and she watches their every move.
She knows based on their moves exactly what do next.
She is always beneath the radar, and she is clever and abstract
and... known how to defeat her adversaries based on cheap shots
THEY make--

That is how she wins...

No man can get past her, no woman can defeat her...
Her daggers are always hidden and she knows just how to strike--
When those who expect it, least expect it...

She is quiet, she is unnoticeable--
She is the lady in the shadows, the woman in black--

She is the ultimate Warrior Woman...

I have a wonderful sister....

Who would have ever thought that God made Bloodlust Nosfratus?
They were human once and this one on my mind, is a happy one--
Anne Rice doesn't know everything about them...and believe it or not, I got to know one in particular and I call her my sister. She is the mirror reflection of who I am inside--
and I am still discovering that one. She is full of surprises and I love every bit
of her company because of everything she has taught me. She taught me EVERYTHING.
Even how to watch stupid people shoot themselves in the foot--and laugh.

Most of all, she has taught me to laugh. Laugh at all those who try so damn hard
to take me down. Because the more they try, to more ridiculous they look--
and get this: The whole world is watching...And that is all that matters--

Thanks, my sister...

Bushido, The Ways Of The Warrior

The most wonderful gift in the world---
Is knowing that you slowly but surely have mastered yourself.
The Master knows he is nothing, and with that thought, strives to become
something. The drive to find that inner peace and to know where to go
next in your life. That is what matters. No matter how others try to take
you down, they cannot touch you because you are in control of yourself,
your environment and your destiny. I walked away from the computer for
a long time in 2009 and I found myself going back to school to work on my
Masters in English--Only to find now, that the music makes even more sense
to me than ever before and I have earned the respect of my professors, as well
as other professionals. They found my ideas of music and literature coming together
actually working and they want to see more. My goal at this time is to design a class
for my University called Music and Literature. I still perform music, as well as
being a web-radio DJ, which I don't mind--and with that, I have won great respect
of my peers and my fanbase. Though it may seem small, poetry is a big deal in
peoples' lives and to host a program or two that has poetry in it for people to read
their work is fine with me. My classmates know of The Gypsy Poet, and to them in
a way, it almost feels like they are talking to a celebrity. We joke about it.
But I say, 'it's no big deal.' I am just like everyone else. But with a name
that stands out...

It's the greatest feeling in the world knowing your dreams are just around the
corner and no one can take away what you have accomplished. My ideas are accepted
in designing a class for music and literature among my professors and to be a part of
that is an awesome feeling. To top it, GPR got canceled this week due to a weather
problem, but it will be back after the Holidays which will feature Nickelodeon's Kristina
Reyes from The Naked Brothers Band. Beware, world--The Gypsy Poet is brilliant, feisty,
intelligent, sexy, independent AND she truly---ROCKS.

Dracula's Last Lesson...

Dracula is a favorite film of mine. It's one of those films and in a way, it
remains in your mind and makes you question what you really want in life.
Do you want to live forever so you can live in pain? Or do you want to die
in peace? That's always been a question. Two things are for sure--Life and death.

There is a poem I once wrote--about Nature and its existence--that the only
thing permanent in the world is change. That is one thing both book and film
taught me. It also taught me about connection. Connection to one another, and
connection to giving a face to your fears. Once your fears have a face, there is
no reason to fear them. What's there to fear after that? I took Romantic literature
this semester and it showed me that the Romantics believed in things perceived--
I learned that well. I found the things around me were being perceived in a different
way. Many illusions around me. But I don't have to see them...
